Educational Qualification: The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in at least one of the following subjects: Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry, or Engineering from a recognized university or institution.

  4. Physical Standards: Candidates must meet the prescribed physical standards set by the UPSC. These standards include height, chest measurements, and visual standards.

  5. Number of Attempts: The number of attempts for the Indian Forest Service exam is limited as follows:

    • For General category candidates: 6 attempts

    • For OBC category candidates: 9 attempts

    • For SC/ST category candidates: Unlimited attempts until the age limit is reached
